Pandy Company, Inc., a teacher-based company
specializing in the creation of social studies
curriculum materials, began in Virginia over five years ago. Its partners are classroom teachers
who have 60+ years of teaching experience from
kindergarten through seventh grade. Penny Gilliland,
the president, is retired after 32½ years of service.
Candy Young has 30+ years experience as a 6th and 7th-grade
social studies teacher of U.S. History I and U.S.
History II.
In addition to
classroom responsibilities, the owners have written
social studies curriculum for public schools, trained
classroom teachers and principals in social studies
techniques, and are now working with numerous school
systems and teachers throughout the Commonwealth of
Virginia.
